2026 State Winter Games

After competing in sub-regional and regional qualifying competitions, Special Olympics Washington athletes and Unified Partners from across the state come to the Wenatchee area to compete in Basketball and Cheer.

Thank you for your interest in volunteering at the 2026 Special Olympics Washington State Winter Games to be held in Wenatchee and East Wenatchee, February 27 - March 1. 

 All of the competitions and activities being held over Games Weekend, are listed below.  If there is a link next to it, that indicates that the volunteer needs for that event have been determined and registration is live.  Please click on that link for available shifts and registration instructions.  If you don’t see a link, please keep checking back. 

Please note that the Winter sports of Alpine and Cross-Country Skiing, Figure Skating and Speed Skating are now recreational sports are being offered at the local level but not at the regional or state level.

*The minimum age to volunteer is 11. Youth ages 11-13 must have an adult volunteer alongside them; Teens 14-17 may volunteer on their own in select roles.

*First Aid/Medical Volunteers:  Volunteers certified in First Aid / CPR / AED must register through our partners, Emergency Management Group.  Please click here to be directed to the EMG website for regional and state opportunities.  Deadline to submit your registration for credentialing is 5pm, Monday, February 23.

 

**Massage Volunteers:  Licensed Massage Practitioners volunteering Saturday at Olympic Town MUST register their license for verification and credentialing.  Please click here to be directed to the EMG website and note that you are a Massage Volunteer. Deadline to submit your registration for credentialing is 5pm, Monday, February 23. If you do not complete this step, you will NOT be able to volunteer. Thank you!
