Region A Flag Football
Region A Flag Football will have competition from Athletes from Regions A, B, C, E, and F. Gold Medal winners will qualify for the State Flag Football Competition in Peoria on November 1-2, 2025.
What Is Flag Football?
One of the newest and most exciting sports Special Olympics Illinois offers is Flag Football. In Illinois, Flag Football provides competition for teams of five in Junior and Senior (Coed) age groups.
Athletes in Illinois who participate in team competition, compete locally at a Regional Qualifying event. Teams who win a gold medal are eligible to advance to the State Flag Football Championships hosted in November.

Event Details
We are utilizing the parking lot K which is highlighted on the map in the supporting documents section. We will only have access to the east side stands of the stadium. Tournament central will be by the southeast entrance. Teams should plan to sign in prior to their first game to receive their wristbands for field access.

Volunteer Information
All volunteers will receive a t-shirt and those that volunteer all day will recieve a lunch. Volunteer duties include scorekeeping, timing, field assistance, assisting with the awards and handing out lunch. Volunteers do not need to have football specific knowledge to attend this event, as training will be provided prior to your shift. Please note that the end time may vary based on how quickly we get through the schedule. The competition will not end until all athletes have competed and been awarded.
