Region B - Snowshoe Competition
2026 Region B Snowshoe Competition at Hoffman Estates High School on Saturday, January 10, 2026. Volunteer duties range from staging and escorting athletes, timing, assisting with the awards ceremony and handing out lunch.
Special Olympics Athletes will be running in Snowshoes in various events throughout the day: 50-meter, 100-meters, relays, etc. Athletes are placed into ability level divisions based off of their entry time, gender, and age.
The 2026 Region B Snowshoe Competition is one of the qualifying events for the 2026 Winter Games in Galena, IL. Any athlete who receives first place in their event at the Region B Regional Competition is eligible to advance to the State Competition.
PLEASE NOTE: We advise you to dress accordingly for cold weather for any job description that consists of being outside.
