New Portal Tips and Tricks
Are you a volunteer between the ages of 11-13? Please have a parent or guardian apply for the Event Volunteer Group Lead role prior to registering for a shift.
Interested in getting a group together? For folks who want to volunteer together, please select a person from your group to apply for the Event Volunteer Group Lead role which will allow you to manage your group’s registrations.
Have you been given a “pre-assigned role” by a staff member or part of a group that's been given a specific shift? Enter the code that was given to you in the Keyword field and they will appear. If you don't have a code, please reach out to your group lead or email volunteer@sowa.org.

Course and Base Set-up Volunteers must register for a 2nd shift, upon completion of set-up. If you are unable to select two consecutive shifts, please email volunteer@sowa.org. Thank you.
On Mountain Set-up and Competition roles: MUST have ski/board experience (Intermediate and above) AND have own equipment.
Base Competition roles: Ski/board experience helpful but not required. Must wear proper snow/cold attire and boots at the minimum.
Base Support roles: Ski/board experience not required. Must wear proper snow/cold attire and boots at the minimum.
On Mountain volunteers will be required to use the chair lifts - season pass holders to The Summit at Snoqualmie may use those, others will be issued a lift ticket for use that day only.
