2026 State Summer Games
Scroll down for signup. Special Olympics NY State Summer Games will take place June 5th-6th in Utica. From Opening Ceremonies Friday night to thrilling competition in 6 sports Saturday, State Summer Games is an event you'll want to be a part of! Competitions include Athletics (Track & Field), Basketball, Powerlifting, Swimming, Tennis, and Volleyball.
Volunteer opportunities available for competition, health programs, and ceremonies.
Need to Know
-Volunteers must be 13+, those 13-15 need an adult present
-Lunch is not provided on competition day, please pack your own
-Assignments may change, you are placed where you can help most
-events may run shorter or longer than planned, please be flexible
-stay until the end of your volunteer shift
-dress accordingly, the competition will go on regardless of weather!
Optional Swag: A volunteer shirt is available for optional purchase to support our Winter Games. Order by Wednesday, May 13th to receive in time for volunteering. Here's the link to the online store. Health Screening volunteers receive health specific shirts.

-You may experience periods of busyness and periods of downtime. Work with Venue Captains to see when is good to take a break and if any other areas need help in your downtime.
