Description:
A General First Aid Volunteer plays an essential role in supporting the health and safety of Special Olympics Texas athletes during sports competitions. Volunteers assist with basic first aid needs such as minor cuts, scrapes, and hydration support, while helping monitor athletes for signs of injury or heat-related concerns. Working alongside event staff and medical professionals, First Aid Volunteers help ensure competitions run smoothly by providing timely care, reassurance, and a calm presence for athletes, coaches, and families throughout the event.

Park anywhere available at the Armed Services YMCA or the public park next door.
Where to Go:
Volunteer Check-In
All volunteers are required to check in online before the event and again in person upon arrival at the competition.
Volunteers should arrive at least 15 minutes before their scheduled shift to allow time for parking and check-in before their shift begins. Check in at the venue will be noted by either a feather flag that states "Volunteer Check-In" or by a 10x10 Tent that says "Volunteer Check-In"

Please note that secure storage will not be available for personal belongings. Volunteers are encouraged to bring only essential items, such as their keys, cell phone, and a water bottle, to their volunteer shift.
