Description:
First Aid Volunteers support the health and safety of athletes during the aquathon swim and run events. Volunteers will assist with basic first aid needs, respond to minor injuries, and help monitor athlete well-being throughout the competition.
Role Highlights:
Provide basic first aid and injury support as needed
Observe athletes for signs of distress and report concerns to medical staff
Assist with hydration, ice, and athlete recovery support
Work closely with event staff to ensure a safe competition environment
Training and clear instructions provided on-site
Your presence helps ensure athletes can compete confidently and safely at this exciting event hosted by Special Olympics Texas.

What to Bring:
Volunteers should wear shorts, t-shirt and shoes that they do not mind getting wet possibly (if you are selected as a timer). SOTX will NOT have a secure place for volunteers to bring personal belongings. Please only bring car keys and phone to your volunteer shift.
