Healthy Athletes Strong Minds - 11/14/2026 2:00:00 PM
Description:
Strong Minds is an interactive learning activity focused on developing adaptive coping skills. Competition provides a natural opportunity to develop active strategies for maintaining emotional wellness under stress, such as: thinking positive thoughts, releasing stress and connecting with others. Athletes try a few different active coping strategies as they move through the stations. Before exiting, athletes identify the strategies they like best and volunteers provide them with visual reminders to use these tools in competition and in daily life.Volunteers needed: Psychologists, Psychology students, Social workers, Social work students, Liscenced Counselors, Counselor students, mental healthcare providers, mental healthcare focused students, yoga instructors
Parking:
General Parking will be available for all volunteers, spectators, etc.. There will be 3 options for General Parking throughout Fall Fest Weekend:

2. Law School Parking Garage (S-4) and Parking Lot (S-5)
3. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd floors of the Ithan Parking Garage (I-1, please note payment will be required here)
If you are volunteering at Bocce, you can head straight to Cabrini College and park there, for faster arrival and check in!
Where to Go:
Your first stop should be the Volunteer Registration tent, which will be located at Sheehan Beach (the field at the corner of Ithan Avenue and Lancaster Avenue). Once you are checked in, you can head to the area (venue) where you will be volunteering!
Bocce volunteers can head straight to their venue at Cabrini College; there will be a volunteer registration tent there as well.
We will send an email with additional information to prepare you in the days before the event.
What to Bring:
We recommend dressing comfortably and wearing sunscreen if you are helping with an outdoor sport/event. We will have water available at each venue, but you are welcome to bring your own water/snacks as well.
Please note that depending on how many volunteers are available to support each role, volunteers may also be asked to support as part of the cheer squad! It makes competition much more engaging and exciting to have people cheering on. You are welcome to bring your own cheering signs, or we will have some available for your to use at the Volunteer Tent.
