Description:
General Volunteers support the overall operation of a Special Olympics Track & Field competition by assisting
event staff where help is most needed. Responsibilities may include serving as a timer for races, measuring
distances for field events, guiding athletes to the correct areas, managing equipment, or assisting with
staging and awards. Volunteers help ensure events run smoothly, safely, and on schedule. This role requires a
positive attitude, flexibility, and the ability to follow instructions. No prior track and field experience is
required, as training and direction will be provided on-site. Your support helps create a welcoming and
successful competition experience for all athletes.
