Description:
A General First Aid Volunteer plays an essential role in supporting the health and safety of Special
Olympics Texas athletes during sports competitions. Volunteers assist with basic first aid needs such
as minor cuts, scrapes, and hydration support, while helping monitor athletes for signs of injury or
heat-related concerns. Working alongside event staff and medical professionals, First Aid Volunteers
help ensure competitions run smoothly by providing timely care, reassurance, and a calm presence
for athletes, coaches, and families throughout the event.
