Healthy Athletes - Opening Eyes - 6/6/2026 8:30:00 PM
Description:
To perform screenings, volunteers should be NY licensed optometrists, ophthalmologists (or other eye care professionals), optometry students or ophthalmology residents. Lions Club International/General Volunteers are welcome as well!
Volunteers should be flexible and prepared to be on their feet for the duration of the screening process. Volunteers will assist with duties such as athlete registration, station setup/breakdown and working with the Clinical Director to perform vision screenings, record findings and distribute information.
Screenings will include 12 testing stations to complete the eye assessment to determine if an athlete needs prescription eyewear, sunglasses and/or sports goggles, which they can receive onsite.
