Description:
Capitol: Olympia/Lacey, Abdeerden/Montesano/Elma, Chehalis, Yelm
Potential Sports: Competitive sports are basketball and cheer, recreational sports are skating (figure, speed), skiing (alpine, cross country), swimming, and sideline cheer.
Traditional programs are teams comprised of only athletes with Intellectual disabilities. Traditional Assistant Coaches support the Head Coach with running a Special Olympics Washington (SOWA) sport program within the 'Community', which are programs that operate outside of our schools but offer opportunities for both youth and adults. Assistant Coaches support the Head Coach with any needs of the team throughout the season and in preparing for competition. Background check and additional training required.
