2026 Summer Season competitions
Below is a list of all competitions across the state this summer AND their schedules. Please note, you need to log in/create an account before fully registering for the events.

Below is a listing of all competitions across the state this season - click on the link beside the listing for the actual volunteer roles and shift schedules. Please note that you will need to be logged into your volunteer portal account at https://portals.specialolympics.org/ to actually register - you can view at first with the link but you'll need to be logged in for the registration to be confirmed.
If you're new to SOWA volunteering, welcome! Please create an account at https://portals.specialolympics.org/ first, then register by selecting the event, role and shift you wish to volunteer for. Thank you.
*The minimum age to volunteer is 11. Youth ages 11-13 must have an adult volunteer alongside them; Teens 14-17 may volunteer on their own in select roles.

- Sunday, August 9: SW Region - Bocce & Softball (SERA Athletic Fields, Tacoma) - Registration link coming soon! - Saturday, August 15: East Region - Softball (Horn Rapids Athletic Complex, Richland) - VIEW SCHEDULE HERE - Saturday, August 22: NW & SW Regions - Golf (Lake Spanaway Golf Course, Tacoma) - Registration link coming soon!
